Yes. Free needs no card. You get 20 credits at signup plus 3 credits a month to try the whole pipeline end-to-end — one project, DeepSeek drafts, Google AI Overview tracking. No upgrade prompt blocks the work.

Runs that would go negative are blocked before they start. You’ll see a clear “out of credits” message in the console with two options: buy a top-up pack or upgrade your plan. There is no surprise overage bill — you only spend what you’ve already paid for.

Plan credits don’t — they refill every billing date and replace whatever was left, so each month starts at your full allowance. Top-up packs do roll over and stay on your balance for as long as your subscription is active.

Annual is roughly two months free — ~17 % off the monthly rate, billed once up front. Your monthly credit allowance stays the same; you just lock the rate in. You can switch monthly ↔ annual at any renewal.

Team is $89 per seat per month (or $74 / seat / mo billed yearly), minimum 2 seats. The 7,000-credit monthly allowance is pooled across the whole team, not per seat — one shared bucket. Add or remove seats anytime from the Stripe customer portal; Stripe pro-rates the change to the current cycle.

Yes. Upgrades take effect immediately, with the new allowance pro-rated for the rest of the cycle. Downgrades take effect at the next renewal so you keep the credits you’ve already paid for. All managed through the Stripe customer portal — no email back-and-forth.

Same Stripe portal, “Cancel subscription”. Your plan stays active until the end of the paid period, then drops to Free — you keep your projects, your articles, your run history. Markdown + JSON exports are available all the way through.

If something on our side broke a billing cycle for you, write to hello@autoink.io and we’ll handle it manually. We don’t have a self-serve refund flow yet — it’s also rare enough that a human reply is faster.

Not from an image model. Every article gets a clean editorial cover and social card from a programmatic template — nine layouts, your brand colours and logo, rendered in under a second at zero per-image cost. Hosted image APIs would add a paid dependency, a moderation surface, and copyright ambiguity for an outcome our users haven’t asked for. If you need a photo cover, drop one in — the template steps aside.

You do. Drafts, final pieces, run history, citation analytics — all of it. Exports are plain Markdown + JSON, and Git-based adapters write straight into your own repo. If you ever leave, the work walks with you.
