The short version You can use AutoInk to write, publish, and track content you have the right to publish. You can't use it to flood the web with junk, impersonate other people, or break the law. You own what you create. We can suspend accounts that abuse the service. Either side can walk away.
1. The agreement
These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) form a binding agreement between you and AutoInk (“AutoInk”, “we”, “us”) governing your access to and use of autoink.io, app.autoink.io, our APIs, and any related services (together, the “Service”). By creating an account or otherwise using the Service, you accept these Terms.
If you're using the Service on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you're authorised to bind that organisation to these Terms, and “you” means both you and the organisation.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old (18 in jurisdictions where 18 is the age of contractual capacity) to use the Service. The Service is not intended for residents of countries subject to comprehensive trade sanctions; you represent that you're not on any sanctions list.
3. Your account
- You're responsible for everything that happens under your account, including content posted via the Service to your CMS or repository.
- You will keep your password confidential and notify us promptly at security@autoink.io of any unauthorised access.
- One natural person, one account. Workspace seats are assigned to individuals, not roles — sharing a single login between multiple humans is prohibited.
- We strongly recommend enabling multi-factor authentication. It's available on every account from day one.
4. Plans, credits, and billing
- Plans. Current tiers, monthly credit allowances, and feature inclusions are listed on autoink.io/pricing. Plans renew monthly or annually, depending on what you choose at checkout.
- Credits. AutoInk runs on a credit meter. One credit equals one cent of underlying compute and API cost at our cost. Plan credits refill on every billing date and don't roll over — use them or lose them. Top-up packs purchased separately do roll over while your subscription stays active.
- Hard stop at zero. When your balance hits zero, we'll block any run that would go negative. There is no surprise overage bill.
- Annual billing. Annual plans are charged once at the start of the term and are non-refundable except as required by law. You can cancel future renewals at any time through the Stripe customer portal.
- Payment failures. If a renewal payment fails, we'll keep the account active for a grace period (currently three days) and email you. If payment isn't recovered, the account drops to Free.
- Taxes. Stated prices are exclusive of VAT, GST, and similar taxes. Stripe applies them at checkout where required.
- Refunds. We don't run a self-serve refund flow. If something on our side broke a billing cycle — an outage, a charge for a plan you cancelled, an obvious mistake — write to hello@autoink.io and we'll handle it.
5. Acceptable use
AutoInk is a tool for serious content publishing. You agree not to use the Service to:
- Generate or publish content that is illegal, defamatory, or violates someone else's intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights.
- Generate or publish sexual content involving minors, content advocating real-world violence, or content designed to harass an individual.
- Run mass-scale doorway sites, link farms, or other content schemes designed primarily to manipulate search rankings or AI citation behaviour without creating value for readers.
- Impersonate any person or organisation, including by publishing under a real person's name without their authorisation.
- Generate medical, legal, or financial advice intended to be relied on as professional guidance, without appropriate human review and disclaimers.
- Bypass rate limits, scrape the Service, reverse-engineer the API, or attempt to access another workspace's data.
- Use the Service to develop, train, or evaluate a competing AI-content product.
- Inject malware, run phishing campaigns, or otherwise abuse downstream destinations (your readers, your CMS, the answer engines).
Violations may result in immediate suspension. Repeated or egregious violations result in termination without refund. We report content to law enforcement when legally required.
6. Your content
- You own your content. Drafts, articles, run history, citation analytics, and the prompts and source materials you upload remain yours. We claim no ownership.
- Licence to operate the Service. You grant AutoInk a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, copy, transmit, and display your content solely as needed to operate the Service for you (for example, sending a draft to the LLM provider you've selected, or pushing the published article to the CMS you've connected). The licence ends when you delete the content or close the account.
- Responsibility for content. You're responsible for the legality and accuracy of anything you generate or publish through the Service. AutoInk does not pre-screen content.
7. Our content and trademarks
The Service, the AutoInk name, the wordmark, the “A” mark, the marketing site copy, and the underlying software are owned by AutoInk and protected by intellectual-property law. Nothing in these Terms grants you a licence to our trademarks. You may, however, write that you use AutoInk — we like that.
8. About AI-generated output
AutoInk uses third-party large language models to generate drafts and to evaluate citation behaviour. AI output can be wrong, biased, or out of date. You're responsible for reviewing what you publish. We make no warranty that any draft is factually accurate, original, or fit for any particular purpose.
9. Service availability and changes
We aim to keep the Service running and improving. We don't promise specific uptime in these Terms; Enterprise customers who need an SLA can contract for one separately. We may add, change, or remove features, and we may impose reasonable limits on usage to protect the Service from abuse.
For material changes that reduce functionality on a paid plan, we'll give you at least 30 days' notice and a pro-rated refund of unused subscription fees if you cancel because of the change.
10. Termination
- By you. Cancel anytime through the Stripe customer portal or by emailing hello@autoink.io. The plan stays active until the end of the paid period, then drops to Free; your data remains accessible for export.
- By us. We can suspend or terminate the account if you breach these Terms (including the AUP), if continued service would expose us to legal risk, or if your account remains inactive on Free for an extended period and we send a deletion notice.
- Effect of termination. After termination we'll delete your data within 30 days, except where retention is legally required (e.g. billing records).
11. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION ANY WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. AUTOINK DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE FROM EVERY POSSIBLE THREAT.
12. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, AUTOINK'S AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) THE FEES YOU PAID AUTOINK IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS. IN NO EVENT WILL EITHER PARTY BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES.
Some jurisdictions don't allow limitations on implied warranties or liability for consequential damages, in which case the limitations above apply only to the extent permitted by law.
13. Indemnification
You'll indemnify AutoInk against third-party claims arising out of (a) your content, (b) your use of the Service in violation of these Terms or the law, or (c) your infringement of any third party's rights. This indemnity does not apply to claims caused by AutoInk's own infringement of these Terms.
14. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in any court with jurisdiction. If you live in the EU/UK, this clause does not deprive you of consumer-protection rights you have under your local law.
15. Changes to these Terms
When we make a material change, we'll email every account holder and update the “last updated” date at the top. Material changes take effect 30 days after the email goes out. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the change; if you don't, cancel before then.
16. Miscellaneous
- Entire agreement. These Terms (together with the Privacy Policy) are the whole agreement between you and AutoInk on this subject.
- Assignment. You can't assign these Terms without our written consent. We can assign them to a successor in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of substantially all of our assets.
- Severability. If any clause is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.
- No waiver. Our not enforcing a clause once doesn't waive the right to enforce it later.
- Notice. We send notice to the email on your account; you send notice to hello@autoink.io.
